The Lion King, Stage Entertainment's stage adaptation of the Disney film, has passed fifteen seasons at Teatro Lope de Vega on Gran Vía, with new performances now announced through February 28, 2027. Julie Taymor's staging brings the African savannah to life with more than 300 masks, puppets and props, blending the film's songs with African rhythms and a live orchestra conducted by Sergi Cuenca. Several showtimes a week — check the official website's calendar. About 2 hours 45 minutes with an interval. Minimum age 4 (recommended from 7); under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets from €27 on the official Stage website. Performed in Spanish.
