The Black Heritage Choir, a selection of 18 singers from the Mississippi Mass Choir directed by Jerry Calvin Smith, presents The Soul of Gospel at the Grandes del Gospel festival: a journey through African-American religious music from its origins on the plantations to its more urban forms. It arrives after its tour for the 50th anniversary of Aretha Franklin's Amazing Grace. In the Sala Guirau at Teatro Fernán Gómez from 3 to 6 December 2026 at 8:00pm, with an extra 5:30pm show on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6. Running time: about 90 minutes. General admission €42 (reduced €34).
